Our Trustees

WSS is governed by its Board of Trustees. The Board makes decisions about our strategic direction and is ultimately responsible for the management and conduct of the charity.

Philip Haynes — Chair

Phillip joined us at WSS as a Trustee in the summer of 2022 following 16 years of service with Shaw Trust/Careers Development Group.

Initially brought on board to Shaw Trust/CDG as a Centre Manager to turn around a deteriorating training centre for adults. The centre assisted people with getting back to work as well as having a basic skills unit for those who needed initial help. The Centre was used by a broad spectrum of people from many backgrounds from labourers to executives, warehouse workers to heart Surgeons.

Before that, he worked for 13 years with BHS as part of the Management team, with both organisations he has worked through enormous periods of change, growth, and improvement.

Phillip will bring his broad skills and experience to Work Stress Solutions to work with all members of the board and delivery team allowing us to optimise the best possible range of services to our customers.

Ashkan Rohani — Deputy Chair & Governance

We welcome Ashkan to our Board of Trustees. He is a project delivery specialist with over 16 years of experience within consultancy firms with a strong depth of experience leading and developing high-performing, inclusive, collaborative and multi-disciplinary teams.

Ashkan is currently working as an Associate Director for a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy and is responsible for leading and managing the team whilst developing and implementing effective business strategies, and achieving continued growth.

He has previously volunteered as a Technical Advisor for Engineers Without Borders in Nigeria working alongside a Community Based Organisation, developing rural infrastructure and habitats.

Sarah Garroch - Acting Chair & Marketing Trustee

Sarah is a linguist and horticulturist MBA, Mental Health First Aider, with responsibility for marketing & fundraising. She is the founder of Garden Revamp Company which provides volunteer and work opportunities for people who have been suffering from health issues. She offers horticultural therapy, teamwork, fresh air, and a much-needed garden improvement service in North Surrey.
